Introduction to the Global Vice Presidents of Sun Moon University (GVP SMU)

Sun Moon University was founded by Rev. Sun Myung Moon in 1988.
In November, 2012, 43 eminent people from 42 countries around world were inaugurated as Global Vice Presidents of Sun Moon University during the Glocal Festival held on Asan Campus. All the Global Vice Presidents are outstanding people who have achieved brilliant and impressive academic reputations and respected careers in their countries.

GVPSMU is a very meaningful step towards the globalization of Sun Moon University.
There have been many economic or political barriers among countries in the world. Such barriers have produced large discrepancies in economics or cultural among countries. Rev. Moon maintained that the problems created by these barriers could be solved by enhancing technical equalization and mutual understanding.
Sun Moon University firmly believes in Rev. Moon's idea and is very positive that our Global Vice Presidents will contribute to solve those problems through mutual collaboration with Sun Moon University.

It is hoped that our Global Vice Presidents will recommend and send outstanding students from their nations to Sun Moon University.
Sun Moon University will in turn do its best to provide opportunities for students recommended by our Global Vice Presidents to have as much financial aid as possible, including Korean Government Scholarships.

We believe that intimate collaboration between Sun Moon University and our Global Vice Presidents will contribute to the global peace and the welfare of humankind that Rev. Moon dedicated his life to.
