Sun Moon University, Chung-nam Venture Association, and Vietnamese Private Business Association signed the MOU at Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, in order to activate global industry-university cooperation and to support family company’s entrance into the Vietnamese market.

Sun Moon University, Chungnam Venture Association and Enterprise Support Team of Chungnam Technopark visited Vietnam from February 8th to 11th and concluded the agreement. The agreement was leaded by Do-mahn-vu, global vice president(Vietnam) of Sun Moon university, Jong-bok Park, president of Chung-nam Venture Association, and Vietnamese Private Business Association(VPBA).

The aim of the visit was to support links between companies in Korea and VPBA, to activate global industry-university cooperation, and to support entrance into the Vietnamese market through the global vice president network of Sun Moon University.

An official from Sun Moon University said, "this gave IT business in Chung-nam province an opportunity to advance to Vietnam, where IT industry is weak." He added, "It will help to create a leading model of the global industry-university cooperation and improve competitiveness in the global market.”

Sun Moon University plans to support local enterprises to develop the Vietnam market through cooperation with the Base Office for Global Industry-University Cooperation in Vietnam, Chungnam Venture Association, Chungnam Technopark, Vietnam-Hanoi Center for Business Support and VPBA. Moreover, it will work on supporting students to enhance global capacity through global internships.

Sun Moon University is contributing overseas expansion of small and medium-sized businesses by opening centers for global industry-university cooperation in 7 countries, such as France, the United States, Vietnam, Taiwan, Czech Republic, Iran, and Singapore.
