The 2020 World University Presidents’ Congress
Warm greetings from Korea!
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to you for your participation and enthusiastic cooperation during the 2020 World University Presidents’ Congress (WUPC), which was held to commemorate the centenary of the founder of Sun Moon University and the 60th anniversary of his marriage. I know the decision to take time out of your busy schedule to honor the invitation must have been difficult to make. However, your presence made a significant contribution to the purpose and contents of this unique international seminar. Thank you.
In particular, the conference provided a platform for presentations and discussions on the role of higher education and innovations in this fast-changing environment under the theme of "The Peace of Humankind and the Role of Universities in the Next 100 Years." Distinguished speakers shared their thoughts on the theme and presented successful cases of various academic milieu. It was clear that something has to be done to address problems in higher education. Thus, there is a need to explore a new paradigm for the next 100 years of higher education. Looking to the future, it’s reasonable to assert that higher education institutions should focus more on developing low-cost, workforce-focused programs and provide students with a wide range of directions in which to take their post-secondary learning.
With best regards,
